Successful Midwestern law firm is seeking a litigation attorney to handle defending workers’ compensation claims in our St. Louis, Missouri office.
Job functions include litigating workers’ compensation cases through all phases on behalf of employers and insurers, management of individual caseload, drafting pleadings and conducting legal research as needed, negotiations for settlement, and attending hearings, trials, depositions, oral arguments, mediations, arbitrations and other proceedings.
- J.D. and license in Illinois required. Both Illinois and Missouri licenses preferred.
- Interest in handling and defending workers’ compensation claims preferred.
- Must be self-motivated and able to meet deadlines under pressure
