The CP&I Project Assistant, under the supervision of an attorney, paralegal or experienced legal staff, performs routine billable and non-billable work that serves the firm’s clients. There is an annual billable requirement for this position.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist the Energy transactional team on a variety of on-going matters and provide administrative support.
Assist with closing checklists and closing binders.
Assist with organizing and monitoring the maintenance of electronic files utilizing the firm’s document management system.
Support administrative projects under the supervision of attorneys, paralegals, and other experienced legal staff.
Use initiative and discretion in accomplishing routine assignments with minimum supervision.
Consistently exhibit a high degree of professionalism.
Track and record client-billable time as required meeting minimum billable hour requirements.
Maintain and prioritize work on a daily basis and communicate if unable to meet daily responsibilities.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Ability to use sound judgement and good discretion.
Must have a high level of attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in a deadline driven environment.
Demonstrate a "can do" attitude and a willingness to continue learning and developing skills.
Ability to prioritize competing priorities and organize a high volume of materials while paying close attention to detail.
Demonstrate excellent communication skills with the ability to work professionally with attorneys and staff.
Demonstrate a willingness to learn and develop skills by forming positive, collaborative relationships with all firm personnel.
Knowledge of, or ability to quickly acquire knowledge of, the roles and function of the assigned department.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Excel, Outlook, Word).
Able to work overtime to meet attorney and client deadlines as needed.
Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree and/or Paralegal Certificate preferred.
Minimum of two (2) years of professional work experience.

Hiring Salary Range:
