Key Responsibilities:- Utilize cutting-edge legal technology to optimize workflow and ensure attorneys operate at peak efficiency.
- Prepare and format legal documents, including appellate briefs, pleadings, and correspondence, with precision.
- Manage and coordinate e-filings in state and federal courts, ensuring compliance with filing deadlines and tracking file-stamped copies.
- Organize and maintain electronic and physical case files using document management systems (iManage) and structured filing methods.
- Provide comprehensive calendar management, scheduling appointments, meetings, and travel arrangements for attorneys.
- Handle daily administrative tasks, including mail processing, scanning, faxing, and document transmission.
- Maintain up-to-date client and case records, ensuring accurate tracking of case progress and correspondence.
- Open and close case files, assist with conflict checks, and maintain master file lists.
- Process attorney expense reimbursements through ChromeRiver and track time entries for accurate billing.
- Serve as a professional liaison between the firm, clients, court personnel, and external stakeholders, demonstrating discretion and sound judgment.
- Offer flexibility for overtime when litigation demands require additional support.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in litigation support within a law firm environment.
- Strong knowledge of legal terminology, court procedures, and document formatting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PDF) and familiarity with legal support tools.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, work under pressure, and adapt to evolving legal needs.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including grammar, proofreading, and transcription.
- Keen attention to detail, organization, and the ability to maintain confidentiality in all matters.
- A high school diploma is required; an associate degree, business school certification, or related legal education is preferred.
