We are seeking a Legal Analyst to provide legal and contract management support to all CareDx Inc and any subsidiaries in conjunction with senior members of the Legal team and external law firms.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ability to think with an enterprise mindset, flexing to meet the needs of internal business units in an environment undergoing transformational change.
- Strong customer orientation and focus, interact effectively and comfortably with all levels of management, while maintaining a high level of integrity and confidentiality.
- Draft, review, and negotiate various company contracts and related documents under the direction of senior attorneys.
- Create resources to ensure compliance with Company processes and improve the Legal team, and the organization’s, ability to address legal and business questions.
- Train internal teams on available legal resources and best practices in supporting or promoting efficient contracts lifecycle management.
- Create and/or enhance contract boilerplates under the direction of senior attorneys to address cross-portfolio segment and account needs.
- Prior experience in implementation or integration of a contract lifecycle management system. Engage necessary stakeholders to improve workflow visibility and shorten the overall contract lifecycle. Perform root analyses to draw correlations between outcomes to business objectives and be able to report these findings to leadership.
- Identify and define operational and legal risks and be able to communicate those risks to appropriate to internal decision-makers for discussion and resolution.
- Comfortable working within tight deadlines. Assist business owners, where necessary, with the expedition of contracts thru the workflows in the contracts management system, ensure completion of contract in the system of record.
- Work closely with Finance to ensure all contracts comply with company's contracting guidelines and any organizational financial controls and other relevant Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Organize, maintain, and update corporate business registrations in conjunction with company registered agent.
- Handle miscellaneous legal tasks on an as-needed basis under direction of senior attorneys.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- No direct reports to start; will supervise contracts business process and assist with staff assignments.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
- BS/BA degree, preferably in life sciences, business management or a related field required.
- Business process/operation management experience required.
- Contract drafting and negotiation experience required.
- Strong interpersonal skills to interact directly with clients and colleagues at all levels and across different functions of the organization.
- Ability to handle, prioritize and follow through on a high volume of work, setting appropriate priorities with clients and delivering results efficiently.
Knowledge/Skills:
- Possesses clear and concise verbal and written communication skills and must have excellent interpersonal communication skills. Also requires strong computer skills (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), DocuSign/PDF, Contract Management Systems and/or SaaS/CRM.
- Must be detail-oriented and have strong organizational skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and with the ability to re-prioritize on short time frames.
- Embodies a continuous improvement mindset and exemplifies agile principles in day-to-day activities.
- Ability to prioritize and work independently and effectively.
- Acts responsibly and conscientiously. Dedicated to quality, reliability, and highest professional standards in all work tasks.
- Must be a self-starter and quick learner.
- Must have good judgment.
