Business Development and Marketing Manager/Senior Manager, Transactional Emerging Companies and Venture Capital

We are working on behalf of an Am Law 10 firm to recruit a Business Development and Marketing Manager or Senior Manager to support the firm’s prestigious and high-profile Emerging Companies and Venture Capital (ECVC) practices. The Manager serves as the primary liaison to the ECVC practice and is a key leader within the Bay Area team and the global Marketing Department. The Manager is expected to take a leadership role in helping develop the ECVC BD and marketing strategy and proactively execute that strategy.

This role is ideal for an individual who:

• Enjoys being people-facing, building relationships and networking in the Bay Area;

• Understands the venture capital and emerging companies' industry; and

• Wants to make an impact and help grow a high-profile practice.

To be considered, a bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 8 years professional marketing, business development, or other relevant experience, is required, with a preference for law firm experience. Successful candidates will understand key industries in the Bay Area, including technology and/or life sciences, including local companies spanning life cycle from startups to mature public companies and VC and PE investors.
