What you’ll own:
As the Paralegal at LoanPro, you will play a crucial role in providing highly organized and detail-oriented support to our General Counsel. You will be responsible for a wide range of essential tasks, including conducting legal research, preparing, reviewing and managing legal agreements, facilitating communication, and assisting with litigation preparation. Responsible for exemplifying excellent customer service and the Company core values, culture, policy and procedures at all times.
- Conduct thorough legal research using various resources, including statutes, case law, regulations, and legal databases.
- Prepare, review, and organize legal documents such as pleadings, motions, contracts, discovery requests, and briefs.
- Maintain and organize case files, ensuring all documents are accurately indexed and readily accessible.
- Assist with all phases of litigation, including discovery, depositions, and trial preparation.
- Communicate effectively with clients, witnesses, court personnel, and other relevant parties, maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.
- Maintain calendars and track deadlines to ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Perform administrative tasks as needed, including photocopying, scanning, and filing.
- Adhere to all ethical guidelines and maintain strict confidentiality of client information.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the General Counsel.
- Take ownership of deep learning about our software, its functions, and how it fulfills our customers' needs and how they use the product.
- Cultivate new business relationships, maintain existing business relationships with customers and partners.
- An essential function of this role requires onsite work to collaborate with other team members. Remote work can be conducted at manager’s discretion and in accordance with company hybrid policy.

What you'll need for success:
- Associate's degree in Paralegal Studies or a Bachelor's degree with a Paralegal Certificate from an ABA-approved program preferred. Equivalent experience may be considered.
- 3-5 years of experience working as a Paralegal, preferably in contract law
- Strong understanding of legal terminology, contracts, procedures, and court rules (including Utah-specific rules and procedures is a plus).
- Excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and legal research databases (e.g., Westlaw, LexisNexis).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong work ethic, initiative, and a commitment to meeting deadlines.
