Job Description
You will support our Commercial Team by reviewing and processing various legal documents. You will work a hybrid schedule from one of our offices in either Ridgewood, NJ, Manhattan, NYC, or Santa Monica, CA. Key responsibilities will include:
- Review, draft, and support negotiations of customer contracts, construction contracts, vendor agreements, purchase orders, and material supplier contracts.
- Ensure proper contract filing and data entry in accordance with contract management policies.
- Manage company resolutions, registrations, and filings as required.
- Support project acquisition processes, including work with internal and external stakeholders related to due diligence, closing checklists, and closing document sets.
- Manage signature sequencing and collection process across the business.
- Serve as a corporate point of contact within the Commercial team to field contract questions, review, and reporting of key contract details/issues.
- Manage the timely processing and resolution of contract disputes, claims, or other legal notices with the support of the legal team and others as needed.
- Assist with developing and redefining processes in the department.
- Various other activities as needed to support the business, including insurance support, compliance support, and misc. research and analysis.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Minimum 2+ years’ experience as a corporate paralegal supporting a team.
- 2+ years’ experience working within engineering, construction, or energy industries, including project financing.
- Strong computer skills, including MS Office Suite, G-Suite, and DocuSign; CRM and contract management software experience a plus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including strong legal writing skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and superior research skills.
- Strong organizational skills, ability to work under tight deadlines, prioritize appropriately, and deliver on time.
- Proactive, entrepreneurial, and interested in improving legal operations.
