A day in the life:
Prologis is seeking a Paralegal (flexible to hire in any of our larger markets). Responsibilities include providing legal and administrative support to the commercial legal department charged with support of Prologis’s “new business lines,” with specific emphasis on contractual matters including (i) preparation and review of contracts including non-disclosure agreements, procurement and general services contracts, and other templatized agreements for products and business solutions; (ii) working with attorneys on the team in support of strategic transactions involving renewable energy assets, real estate, and corporate matters; (iii) ensuring that team documents are stored and filed appropriate utilizing document management systems; and (iv) general paralegal support as needed .
Key responsibilities include:
- Provide a high level of administrative general functions as required, specifically in the assistance in all stages of commercial and corporate transactions and in the preparation of documents necessary to comply with federal, state and local requirements in the conduct of business activities.
- Support all aspects of strategic commercial and corporate transactions, including due diligence, document preparation, closing mechanics and post-closing administration.
- Summarize material terms of contracts.
- Assist with the preparation, review, edit, execution, and amendment of contracts, including non-disclosure agreements, procurement and general services contracts, and other templatized agreements for products and business solutions .Assist in the development of customized training materials.
- Create and maintain accurate, up-to-date and audit-ready records of all contracts and act as a point person for questions on contractual obligations.
- Develop professional relationships with resources both within the Company and outside the Company to advance information gathering and research goals.
- General and legal research.
- Other duties as assigned.
Building blocks for success:
Required:
- Minimum of five (5) years of legal experience, including a background in commercial contracts, real estate, or corporate transactional work.
- Knowledge of real estate and renewable energy, projects (solar, storage and/or electric vehicle (EV) charging) is ideal.
- Highly organized and willing to develop and maintain document filing and management systems.
- Must have strong PC skills with Microsoft Office (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) as well as the ability to learn and use proprietary computer systems and databases.
- Must be open to embracing and assisting with the implementation of AI and document automation, including, but not limited to, administering technology systems and platforms, developing processes and procedures, and leveraging new technology to enhance efficiency across the department.
- User-friendly, practical, customer-service oriented and responsive. Superior written and verbal communication skills required.
- Legal research knowledge and ability to use law library are required.
- Able to work under tight deadlines, handle multiple, detailed tasks simultaneously, prioritize appropriately and delegate to resources available.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
- Must be able to anticipate problems and issues and exercise independent judgment to make sound, justifiable decisions and take action in solving problems while knowing when and to whom to escalate issues.
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Paralegal Certificate from an ABA-certified program preferred.
Hiring Salary Range: $82,000 - $112,000. Salary and whole compensation package (bonus target) to be determined by the candidate’s location, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
