Position Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Real Estate focused attorney to join our legal team. In this role, you will support real estate transactions and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Your expertise will help facilitate property acquisitions, leases, and other real estate-related matters within the wholesale distribution sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation and review of real estate documents, including purchase agreements, leases, and title documents.
  • Conduct title searches and due diligence for property acquisitions and sales.
  • Prepare and file necessary documentation with local and state authorities, ensuring compliance with real estate laws and regulations.
  • Manage and organize legal files and documentation related to real estate transactions.
  • Coordinate with external parties, including title companies, real estate agents, and local government entities.
  • Support negotiations related to property leases and sales, providing research and drafting.
  • Maintain an updated knowledge of real estate laws and regulations, particularly those affecting the wholesale distribution industry.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to real estate transactions.
  • Prepare reports and summaries of real estate transactions and legal issues for management.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
  • Minimum of five years of experience practicing law within the real estate field.
  • Strong familiarity with real estate transactions, property law, and compliance requirements.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in legal research tools and software, as well as Microsoft Office Suite.
