- Job Details
- Under direct supervision, learns Victim-Witness Program procedures and provides a variety of services to victims and witnesses of crimes in accordance with the program’s requirements in the District Attorney’s Office. This includes interviewing victims and witnesses, assessing needs, making referrals, assisting with the development of community resources for victim and witness assistance, and representing the Victim-Witness Program with community organizations and agencies. Additionally, performs related duties as assigned.
- Minimum Qualifications
VICTIM ADVOCATE I
Licensing and Certifications:
Possession of, or ability to obtain, an appropriate valid California driver's license.
Education and Experience:
One (1) year of full-time responsible administrative/clerical experience in a social service and public assistance, criminal justice, or law enforcement agency.
VICTIM ADVOCATE II
Licensing and Certifications:
Possession of, or ability to obtain, an appropriate valid California Driver’s License.
Education and Experience:
One (1) year of full-time responsible experience in dealing with victims and witnesses of crimes, or performing criminal justice work comparable to that of a Victim Advocate I with the County of Lake.
