
Appellate Court Law Clerk: Judge F. Rand Wallis of Florida's Fifth District Court of Appeal will have an opening for a law clerk commencing sometime between August 1 and December 31, 2025. The start date is negotiable.
This is a full-time position. Work may be performed at the court in Daytona Beach, Florida, remotely via secure linked technology, or in a hybrid combination of in-person and remote.
The position involves the preparation of bench memos based upon the clerk's review of the parties' briefs, the record on appeal, and independent research. The successful candidate will have a record of academic achievement, the ability to analyze and research civil and criminal matters, excellent writing skills including working knowledge of Blue Book and similar legal citation formulas, together with a demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team while meeting deadlines for completion of work. Membership in the Florida Bar is desired but not required.
Salary- $67,881.12 - $86,592.18/year
