Job Description
This position is in a Field Office of the National Labor Relations Board. Field offices represent the operating branch of the Agency and perform the majority of the Agency's case handling work, including investigating representation petitions and unfair labor practice charges. This is a developmental position leading to the full performance grade of GS-0244-13.
Duties As a Labor Management Relations Examiner (Labor Relations Investigator), GS-0244-9, your typical work assignments may include: Interviewing witnesses in unfair labor practice investigations, taking affidavits to collect relevant evidence from parties. Receiving and reviewing parties' records and extracting relevant and material data from collective bargaining agreements, grievance reports and correspondence. Preparing investigative reports. Under direct supervision, negotiating and finalizing election agreements and conducting elections. Effectively dealing with people of various backgrounds, some of whom may be indifferent, uncooperative, and/or hostile. Salary- $63,678 - $83,911/year
