- THE POSITION

The Pennsylvania Insurance Department (PID), Office of Chief Counsel is actively searching for an Assistant Hearings Administrator. This position oversees the administrative functions of the PID, Administrative Hearings Office (AHO) to ensure office operations are conducted efficiently and effectively. - DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As the Assistant Hearings Administrator, you will greet and direct parties arriving for hearings or other business in the Administrative Hearings Office. It will be your responsibility to accept, review, properly docket, and record formal filings and other communications. You will have the opportunity to receive and respond to telephone, electronic mail, and in-person inquiries from insureds, company representatives, attorneys, PID personnel, legislative offices and other agencies, either responding personally or forwarding to appropriate personnel. You will be expected to maintain substantive knowledge of the statutes and rules governing the Insurance Department, including those specific to the Administrative Hearings Office and analyze applicability of laws, regulations and procedures appropriately in the performance of daily duties. This professional assigns docket numbers for all new cases after determining the nature of the case, processes and distributes consent orders and market conduct reviews, enters information into the docket management database and assists in processing untimely requests for review.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with 60-minute lunch.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, three days in office, two days telework (or in the office as needed). In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Two years of varied office management or staff work within a public or private legal office.
Additional Requirement:
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
