Join MedPrep RI's Launch Team! Medical Preparatory Academy of Rhode Island (MedPrep RI) is a tuition-free public charter launching in Pawtucket, RI, in 2027-2028. Preparing grades 6-12 students from Providence, Pawtucket, and Central Falls for top universities and medical careers, tackling disparities via our H.E.A.L.S. model (High expectations, Equity, Actual exposure, Leadership matters, & Student empowerment). Endorsed by the Rhode Island Medical Society Foundation. Our Ask: With a strong, dedicated core (medical expertise covered), we're seeking a volunteer board member focused on legal/compliance (~4-6 hrs/mo monthly meetings) with preferred 5+ years in RI education/charters. Advise on RIDE policies, bylaws, and risk management for our equity-focused launch. Diverse voices welcome—no pay, but high impact on healthcare equity.
