Job Overview:
CapCenter is seeking a Legal Operations Attorney who brings legal expertise, business acumen, and a commitment to delivering an exceptional client experience. This is not a traditional law firm role—it is a high-impact position blending operations leadership, compliance oversight, and client-facing closing work. The ideal candidate performs effectively under pressure, inspires excellence in others, and is eager to grow alongside CapCenter.
Key Responsibilities:
Closing Execution. At CapCenter, the closing is more than a necessary step—it is your opportunity to deliver a professional, informed, and memorable experience. You will conduct residential real estate closings with precision, address client concerns, and ensure every client leaves eager to refer CapCenter to friends and family.
Operations Team Leadership. You will lead a cross-functional team of mortgage and closing professionals, driving adherence to operational timelines and holding the team accountable for client satisfaction from application through closing. This includes coaching team members, identifying bottlenecks, and ensuring that team operations reflect CapCenter’s mission of simplifying the homeownership experience and maintaining full transparency in every client interaction.
Lending Counsel. As in-house counsel embedded in CapCenter’s mortgage and closing operations, you will advise the production and closing teams on legal, title, and compliance requirements imposed by applicable law and the secondary mortgage market, keeping transactions compliant and well-structured from initiation through closing.
Transaction Quality Control. You will serve as the quality control backstop across CapCenter’s title, loan production, closing, and realty teams—reviewing documentation, identifying risk, and ensuring every file meets company standards before closing.
Build a Better Way. You will evaluate and improve CapCenter’s processes, forms, and systems with a focus on efficiency, consistency, and operational excellence.
Qualifications:
We ask all applicants to submit a cover letter in addition to their resume. Your cover letter should highlight your interest in the role and relevant experience, and is required for full consideration.
The ideal candidate combines genuine enthusiasm for client service with the operational mindset needed to lead a high-performing team. Strong analytical skills, sound legal judgment, and a desire to use a legal background to drive business results are essential.
