Assistant Attorney General
Consumer Protection Section, No-Call Unit ~ St. Louis
The Missouri Attorney General's Office is actively seeking attorneys with excellent credentials for an Assistant Attorney General position in the Consumer Protection Section, No-Call Unit in St. Louis.
The No-Call Unit handles enforcement of the Missouri No-Call Law and Telemarketing Law, which regulate telemarketing calls to Missouri residents. The Unit is responsible for distributing the No-Call list to registered telemarketers, filing complaints received through a hotline, investigating potential violations, and litigating civil enforcement actions. The attorney in charge of the No-Call Unit will manage a staff of three, direct all investigations related to telemarketing practices, draft and file civil litigation in appropriate courts, collaborate with other state and federal partners, and respond to legislative inquiries regarding the No-Call law. Applicants must have excellent research and writing skills, be able to analyze call detail records and financial records, exercise independent judgment, have excellent organization skills, handle multiple projects while managing a sizable case load, and be proficient with Excel.

Salary is commensurate with experience.
