We pride ourselves on our professionalism, integrity, and commitment to excellence. We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Legal Compliance Specialist to join our dynamic team.


We are seeking a Legal Compliance Specialist to join our team in Long Beach, CA. In this role, you will support multiple departments with a focus on legal compliance in property management. Working closely with executive leadership and legal consultants, this role will concentrate on eviction processes, regulatory compliance, and documentation management. We'd love to hear from you if you have 3-5 years of experience in real estate or housing compliance, strong organizational abilities, and excellent communication skills!


Key Responsibilities:


Legal Document Facilitation: Coordinate and facilitate the preparation of legal documents (lease agreements, contracts, amendments, and notices) in collaboration with attorneys.

File and Contract Management: Maintain centralized case files and documentation, track critical dates, renewals, and other essential contractual deadlines.

Compliance Support: Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations in property management; monitor relevant law and regulation changes.

Research: Stay informed on landlord-tenant laws, zoning ordinances, and real estate regulations to ensure compliance.

Risk Management: Identify potential legal risks and collaborate with legal teams to recommend risk mitigation strategies.

Record Keeping: Organize and maintain legal files, databases, and document retention systems for audit and compliance purposes.

Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the liaison between legal, internal departments, external partners, vendors, and tenants, providing clear and responsive communication.

Special Projects: Support additional projects and tasks to help meet the company’s objectives.

Requirements

Qualifications:


Education: A bachelor’s degree in legal studies, compliance, real estate, or a related field is required.

Experience: Minimum of 3 years in legal or compliance roles, preferably in property management, real estate, or corporate law.

Knowledge: An in-depth understanding of property management legal compliance and real estate law is highly desirable.

Skills:


Strong written and verbal communication

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research software

Discretion in handling confidential and sensitive information

Competencies:


Attention to Detail: High accuracy in work products

Problem Solving: Initiative in identifying and solving issues independently

Time Management: Efficient in managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines

Interpersonal Skills: Effective communication with colleagues, vendors, tenants, and stakeholders


Working Conditions:

Primarily office-based, with occasional travel to property locations as required. Standard business hours apply, with flexibility based on department needs.
