We are seeking an experienced defense attorney to join our in-house Workers’ Compensation team. This role is suited for a seasoned litigator with at least five years of experience, strong communication and negotiation skills, and the ability to independently manage a caseload of high-exposure and complex matters. Trial experience is preferred, along with a solid understanding of workers’ compensation law.

This role is suited for a seasoned litigator with at least five years of experience, strong communication and negotiation skills, and the ability to independently manage a caseload of high-exposure and complex matters. Trial experience is preferred, along with a solid understanding of workers’ compensation law.
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and active admission to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
- 5+ years of litigation experience, ideally within insurance defense, workers’ compensation, or related practice areas
- Demonstrated experience across all phases of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, depositions, motion practice, court appearances, and settlement negotiations
- Proven ability to independently manage complex, high-exposure caseloads and develop effective defense strategies
- Experience leading settlement negotiations and participating in mediations, with strong advocacy and negotiation skills
- Ability to analyze medical records and integrate findings into claim strategy and litigation approach
- Strong client-facing skills, with experience advising internal stakeholders or external clients on legal risk and strategy
- Experience collaborating with TPAs, claims professionals, and outside counsel across multiple jurisdictions is a plus
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex legal concepts into practical guidance
- Hybrid role based in Beverly, MA, with a minimum of three days per week in the office
- Must be legally authorized to work in United States.
