- The Temporary Part-Time Office Assistant performs responsible clerical and administrative support work related to the retention and organization of case files. Work involves assisting with the preparation, maintenance, and proper disposition of records and materials in accordance with established City and departmental procedures.
***This is a temporary, part-time position with an approximate duration of 6 months (with possibility to extend)***
Schedule will be determined based on departmental needs.

- Assists with the review, retention, and reorganization of case files.
- Prepares files for shredding and ensures all confidential materials are properly handled and destroyed.
- Reorganizes file storage areas to maintain order and accessibility.
- Lifts, moves, and carries boxes or file containers weighing up to 15 pounds.
- Accurately follows written and verbal instructions with attention to detail.
- Works independently with minimal supervision to complete assigned tasks.
- Performs related clerical duties as assigned.
- Required Qualifications
High school diploma or GED; supplemented by college level course work or vocational training in personal computer operations; supplemented by a minimum of one year previous experience and/or training that includes general office work, customer service, personal computer operations, and data entry; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job. Requires a valid driver's license.
