Job Description

 Job Title : Senior Paralegal

Status: Exempt

Why this role is important:

Aither Health's Paralegal is integral to the smooth functioning of our legal operations. They provide essential support to Aither Health, to ensure legal compliance, and contribute to the overall success and risk management of the organization.  The Paralegal will assist Aither Health's Executive Team by providing legal support as defined below.  

Key Responsibilities:

  • Draft company legal documents including but not limited to Administrative Service Agreements, Business Associate Agreements, HIPAA Authorization Forms, DOI responses, correspondence, etc.eporting & Data Management:

  • Researches and analyzes statutes, regulations, legal articles, judicial decisions, and other legal sources Document Preparation: Assist in drafting and formatting reports, presentations, and other business documents.

  • Reviews all incoming legal documents prior to CEO signing.

  • Works with vendors and clients to schedule contract reviews.  Monitors and pushes the process through to a fully executed document.

  • Filing for, renewing, and maintaining company licensing.

  • Drafting, filing and managing various business entity documents for our LLC with State agencies.

  • Assists in implementing changes to contracts to comply with legislation/regulations.

  • Updating leadership with timely analysis and summaries of new legislation/regulations affecting the business.

  • Responsible for support related to litigation, mediation, arbitration, and responses to complaints.

  • Maintain the Company Book.

  • Meets with vendors, clients, and other professionals to discuss legal matters.

  • Responsible for coordination with the outside counsel.

  • Responsible for support related to litigation, mediation, arbitration, and responses to complaints.

  • Communication & Coordination: Serve as a liaison between departments, ensuring smooth information flow and timely task completion.

  • Support special projects and initiatives as assigned by the department manager.

  • Perform additional administrative tasks to support efficient business operations.

 

What you'll bring:

  • Bachelors degree in paralegal studies or related field preferred.

  • Paralegal certificate required.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 

  • 3 years of legal work in a TPA or related industry.

  • Previous contract experience.

  • Understanding of legal language and principles, research methods, court pleadings and processes, and other related matters.

  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.

  • Excellent attention to detail.

  • Ability to function in a fast paced and at times stressful environment.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and to exercise discretion and good judgment.

  • Proficient in Microsoft office suite or related software.

 

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

 

Compensation Range:     $70,000- $90,000
