Roku, Inc. is seeking an experienced and self-motivated paralegal to join its Privacy, Marketing and Product Counsel Team. This position is a great opportunity to work on some of the most interesting projects in the TV streaming industry.
For California and New York only - The estimated annual salary for this position is between $100,000 and $150,000 total annually. Compensation packages are based on factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, certifications, and specific geographical location. This role is eligible for health insurance, equity awards, life insurance, disability benefits, parental leave, wellness benefits, and paid time off.
What you will be doing- As a member of Roku’s Legal Department, you will:
- Support product launches, legal due diligence, and product legal review processes.
- Support Roku’s privacy impact assessment process, including managing the workflow, ensuring timely completion of assessments, and managing day-to-day vendor relationships.
- Act as the first point of contact for the Legal Department on regulatory matters and assist with information rights requests.
- Manage privacy inquiries and liaising with internal teams.
- Assist with review of marketing assets, press releases and other promotional collateral.
- Assist with management and enforcement of Roku’s trademark portfolio.
- Lead knowledge management for the Privacy, Marketing and Product Counsel Team.
- Management of end user terms, privacy notices and other public-facing legal documents.
- Prepare presentations, training materials and assist with other cross functional awareness initiatives.
- Perform other administrative duties for the Vice President, Deputy General Counsel of the Privacy, Marketing and Product Counsel Team, including invoice processing, and budget and calendar management.
- At least 7 years of experience as a paralegal or privacy manager (or other similar legal/compliance roles).
- Experience supporting teams responsible for compliance with data privacy, data protection, consumer protection and other regulatory compliance in the consumer space.
- Experience supporting marketing teams in a consumer-facing company.
- Fluency in PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook, Sharepoint, Confluence and Lucid Chart.
- Familiarity with workflow management tools such as Jira.
- Familiarity with knowledge management processes.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Can complete a high volume of tasks and projects independently and quickly.
- Good attention to detail and able to meet overlapping tight deadlines.
