Job Description
This position is assigned to the Office of the Executive Secretary (OES) of the Board. The purpose of this position is to serve as an associate attorney in partnering with the Executive Secretary to manage all cases that require dealing with parties to cases and communicating on behalf of the Board with the public, Members of Congress, and other government agencies.
Duties As an Attorney-Advisor (Labor), GS-0905-15, your typical work assignments may include: Consulting and answering questions from parties, including regional offices, on current policies and procedures of the Board as to the processing of cases. Assisting in negotiations, resolving legal conflicts, and responding to inquiries regarding Board decisions and orders. Communicating with high-level officials, Congressional liaisons, private law firms and attorneys, legal counsel for other Federal agencies, Agency stakeholders, and top management personnel and government officials. Using case management systems to manage and process cases, and keep accurate and timely records. Coordinating and facilitating the flow of cases and determining priorities in cases where the statute and the public interest require accelerated or emergency handling and decision. Preparing and/or overseeing the preparation of official correspondence of the Board. Salary- $167,603 - $195,200/year
