We’re planning an annual salary of $60,000 – $80,000, plus a 5% annual bonus tied to our firm and individual performance (an actual offer will depend on knowledge, skills, abilities, and experience).

What You’ll Do
As a litigation paralegal, you’ll provide essential support to our Aviation legal team throughout the entire litigation process. You’ll handle a variety of tasks, including legal research, drafting documents, managing case files, and assisting with trial preparation. By helping our attorneys manage the complexities of litigation, you’ll allow them to focus on legal strategy to achieve client representation for successful outcomes.
More specifically, you’ll:
- Assist attorneys with case preparation from inception through trial and appeal, including drafting and filing pleadings, motions, discovery requests/responses, subpoenas, and other legal documents.
- Conduct legal research and gather relevant case law, statutes, and regulations related to aviation; monitor and ensure compliance with federal and state aviation regulations (FAA, NTSB, DOT).
- Manage large volumes of documents, including e-discovery, document review, and production; prepare trial binders, exhibits, and summaries; assist with trial logistics and support.
- Coordinate with expert witnesses, investigators, and aviation consultants; liaise with clients, courts, and opposing counsel in a professional manner.
- Maintain case calendars, deadlines, and litigation databases.
What We’re Seeking
We are looking for a highly skilled Litigation Paralegal to join our Aviation legal team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing all phases of the litigation process, from initiation to discovery, through trial.
Education/Experience:
- Undergraduate degree in paralegal or related studies or equivalent experience
- 5+ years as a paralegal with experience managing all aspects of litigation cases.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Comprehensive knowledge of civil litigation law and federal and state procedures.
- Strong ability to effectively and thoroughly conduct legal research to support litigation strategies and case preparation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to draft clear and concise legal documents and communicate effectively with others.
- Exceptional organizational skills, ability to manage multiple cases, deadlines, and documents efficiently.
- Attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and thoroughness in all tasks.
- Ability to handle tasks independently while collaborating effectively with attorneys and other team members.
- High level of discretion and professionalism in handling sensitive information.
- Proficiency in legal research databases, case management software, and e-discovery tools, as well as Microsoft Office application.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience supporting litigation involving pilots, airlines, aircraft manufacturers or aviation insurers. preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of aviation law and industry
