Join the Intellectual Property team to support Walmart’s global patent portfolio by maintaining dockets, monitoring deadlines, and ensuring compliance with US and foreign formality requirements. Collaborate with and assist patent attorneys, patent professionals, inventors, and the business segments with patent-related questions and generate dashboards and reports to track internal patent statistics using Anaqua.
Minimum Qualifications:
A nationally recognized paralegal certification or an ABA accredited paralegal degree AND 2 years’ experience as a paralegal, legal analyst, or otherwise performing the responsibilities of a paralegal job OR 3 years’ experience as a paralegal, legal analyst, or otherwise performing the responsibilities of a paralegal as defined by Walmart’s job description OR a juris doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
Additional Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree (preferred), 12 to 18 months of experience at an Intellectual Property (IP) Firm, including familiarity with Anaqua, Sargis, or similar IP management systems. Experience with US and Foreign trademark and/or patent filing, prosecution practices, and trademark formalities is also required. Additionally, familiarity with IP search engines and managing large dockets is required.
