Legal Intern

The Role 

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Legal Intern to join our team. This internship offers a unique opportunity for students pursuing a Juris Doctor or a Paralegal degree to gain hands-on experience in a professional legal environment. The ideal candidate will assist with various tasks, including filing and organizing documents, proofreading legal materials, preparing templates, conducting legislative research projects, and performing case analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

- Filing and Organizing: Maintain and organize legal files and documents to ensure easy access and retrieval.

- Legal Summaries: Create AI summaries of legal documents and check for consistency. 

- Proofreading: Review legal documents for accuracy, clarity, and compliance with established standards.

- Preparing Templates: Assist in creating and updating legal templates for various documents, including resolutions, briefs, and correspondence.

- Legislative Research Projects: Conduct research on relevant legislation, regulations, and case law to support ongoing projects and cases.

- Case Analysis: Analyze case materials and summarize findings to assist attorneys in case preparation and strategy development.

Qualifications:

- Currently pursuing a Juris Doctor or a Paralegal degree.

- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.

- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

- Ability to conduct thorough research and analyze legal information.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
