Texell Credit Union College Summer Paid Internship

Texell Credit Union, voted the #1 credit union in Central Texas, and ranked the 11th Best Credit Union to work for in the nation by American Banker, is looking for a college-level pre-law intern for this coming Summer to make a meaningful impact on our business.  We offer the opportunity to gain real-world work experience to boost your resume and help you get a leg up in your post-college career search. Plus, we are going to pay you $18/hr.
 

PROGRAM DETAILS

Texell’s summer internship program involves:

• Exposure to the operations of a financial institution by assisting with day-to-day operational tasks such as:
  • Processing judgment actions which will include: demand letters, creating petitions and requesting checks, attending hearings, recording abstracts, communicating with attorney’s offices and documenting cases, etc.
  • Assisting with Bankruptcy processes such as documenting notice of filings, sending letters to attorneys, filing proof of claims/reaffirmations, and documenting Trustee payments received
  • Researching discrete legal topics and preparing a client memo summarizing key legal points
  • Assisting with Bank Secrecy Act operations and conducting limited scope audits
  • Assisting with monthly reports
• Working 28 hours a week from May after classes end through August before classes begin.
• Opportunity to support the community by participating in our Texell Serves employee volunteer and service program.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Completion of 70 college credit hours (we will accept graduate students as well)
• Enrolled as a full-time student in spring of 2026 (12 hours for undergrad, 6 hours for graduate school)
• Entering your final year of a bachelor’s or graduate degree program at an accredited college or university
