Summary
As a Trust & Estates Paralegal, you will be integral in supporting legal teams with estate planning and administration tasks. Reporting to senior attorneys, your core skills in legal research, document review, and case management will be essential in managing client files and preparing legal documents. Your premium expertise in estate planning and family law will enhance the quality of our legal services. Additionally, your relevant skills in organization, transcription, and communication will ensure efficient operations within our law office, contributing to the success of our practice in a collaborative environment.
In addition to Trust and Estates and Estate Administration, the paralegal will assist with Commercial and Residential Real Estate transactions, including, but not limited to, ordering due diligence, reviewing title reports, preparing title insurance policies, drafting and organizing closing documents, including loan documents, recording title documents, preparing and filing UCC financing statements, preparing and balancing settlement statements, and managing post-closing matters.
Responsibilities
- Conduct legal research to support case preparation.
- Assist in estate planning by drafting and reviewing legal documents.
- Manage case files and ensure accurate data entry into document management systems.
- Provide administrative support, including transcription and filing, while maintaining organizational efficiency.
- Communicate effectively with clients and colleagues to facilitate smooth operations within the law office.
Qualifications
- Proficient in legal research tools.
- Experienced in Trusts and Estates, such as drafting wills, trusts, health care proxies, powers of attorney, and all other related estate planning documents.
- Experienced in Commercial and Residential Real Estate transactions, including, but not limited to, ordering due diligence, reviewing title reports, preparing title insurance policies, drafting and organizing closing documents, including loan documents, recording title documents, preparing and filing UCC financing statements, preparing and balancing settlement statements, and managing post-closing matters.
- Strong legal administrative experience with document review and case management.
- Excellent writing and organizational skills.
- Familiarity with estate planning and relevant areas of law.
- Experience with document management systems and data entry.
- Ability to conduct thorough research and maintain attention to detail.
