Position Summary: The Senior Financial Analyst will play a key role in supporting the firm’s financial performance through accurate reporting, forecasting, and analysis. This position focuses on delivering actionable insights to help leadership make informed decisions. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with large data sets in a fast-paced professional services environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with annual budgeting and monthly/quarterly forecasting, ensuring accuracy and alignment with firm objectives.
- Prepare and maintain financial reports and dashboards, including revenue, expense, and profitability metrics.
- Conduct variance analysis and identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Support matter-level profitability analysis, including cost allocation and realization tracking.
- Monitor cash flow drivers, WIP, and AR aging; provide insights to improve collections and working capital.
- Develop and maintain financial models for scenario planning and ad hoc analysis.
- Collaborate with Finance and Operations teams to ensure data integrity and process efficiency.
- Assist in system reporting enhancements and automation using Excel and BI tools (Power BI/Tableau).
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field required; MBA or Master’s preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of FP&A or financial analysis experience; law firm or professional services experience preferred.
- Technical Skills:
- Advanced Excel (pivot tables, formulas, modeling).
- Familiarity with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau).
- Experience with ERP or time/billing systems
- Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting principles.
- Ability to analyze complex data and present clear, concise insights.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across teams.

Physical Requirements:
- Office environment with normal business hours necessary to satisfactorily perform job functions.
- Stationary Position – Must be able to remain in a stationary position up to 50% of the time.
- Move or Traverse – This position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, meeting rooms, office machinery, etc. May occasionally ascends/descends the stairs to get to other floors, cafeteria and parking area.
- Dexterity – constantly operates a computer and other office machinery such as a copy machine/printer.
- Move, Transport, Position, Put, Install, Remove - Occasionally moves supplies weighing up to 10 pounds for various presentation and event needs.
- Communicate, Detect, Converse with, Discern, Convey, Express oneself, Exchange information - The ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
