Job Posting: Paralegal
Location: Bee Cave, TX
About Us: We are a small law firm specializing in personal injury and family law. As we expand our injury practice and reduce our family law focus, we seek a dedicated Paralegal willing to handle typical paralegal drafting duties and reception tasks.
You will be the only one primarily in the office and at this time, the only employee for the firm. Any overflow work is handled by remote staff. The attorneys also tend to work remotely., but for in-office meeting and in-person litigation events. However, we do have other tenants who are there daily.
Position Details:
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9 AM - 5 PM
- Location: In-person at our office near the Hill Country Galleria, close to Gold's Gym and beside Hill Country Galleria.
NOTE: Most of our turnover is due to the long commute, so please check the commute and the relevant travel time before applying to this position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage electronic document filing
- Handle phone communications and messages
- Draft discovery responses and pleadings
- Gather production from clients, organize, and Bates number
- Review and order medical records
- Coordinate attorney litigation schedules
- Utilize ProDocs E-filing and Practice Master client management program
- Communicate with insurance adjusters and provide case updates
- Managing assigned tasks by making updates and taking detailed notes
- Consistent follow-up on on-going tasks
- Conduct client calls for medical treatment updates
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year of work in a law firm
- Proficiency with scanners, Microsoft Word, and Excel
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Excellent interpersonal skills
