Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP, one of the world’s leading global law firms with offices in strategic hubs of commerce, law, and government across North America, Asia, Europe, and the Middle East, is seeking to hire a Knowledge Management Project Manager.
This position reports to our Senior Director of Knowledge Solutions and is responsible for the management, coordination and documentation of a wide range of Knowledge Solutions projects. The Project Manager will drive projects from initial vision through completion while working with a diverse team of both internal and external stakeholders.
This position will reside in our New York office with a hybrid in-office/remote working schedule.
Key responsibilities include:
Collaborate with Product and Collaborative Solution teams to define project charters.
Identify appropriate resources and develop schedules to ensure timely completion of projects.
Develop work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans and status reports.
Create, analyze and present project risks, remediation and mitigation efforts.
Facilitate the definition of project missions, goals, tasks, and resource requirements.
Monitor and communicate the status of projects to the Senior Director of Knowledge Solutions with respect to milestones, schedule commitments.
Lead project planning and review meetings; reporting on meeting results.
Analyze project performance data and quantifies project benefits and success criteria
Establish and monitor project budget, seeking efficiency and streamlining.
Present oral and written reports defining plans, problems, and resolutions.
Provide direction and guidance of project activities to cross functional departments.
Create and document project management policies and procedures.
Requirements/ Education and experience:
A bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university in MIS, business or accounting and a minimum 5 years of Project Manager experience in a professional services organization with preference given to legal industry experience.
Strong knowledge of project concepts (RACI, AGILE, SCRUM); certification preferred.
Track record for leading change and proven ability to drive cross-functional initiatives from concept to implementation.
Independent and self-motivated thinker with a strategic business focus and understanding; customer-focused perspective
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business and professional publications, prepare business correspondence, proposals and reports, effectively present information to groups of employees, and respond to questions from employees, managers, clients and vendors.
Technical skills including, Microsoft Office Suite, JIRA / Confluence, Adobe
For positions in Washington DC., the salary range for this job posting is: $124,200 - $198,600.
The base salary or hourly wage range for this position will be determined during the interview process and will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to prior experience, relevant expertise, current business needs, and market factors. The final salary or hourly wages offered may be outside of this range based on other reasons and individual circumstances. Additionally, salary or hourly wages may be only part of the total compensation package. The total compensation package for this position may also include a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
