Associate Attorney – Family Law (Full-Time)

Tessmer Law Firm is an award-winning Family Law firm in San Antonio. Led by Heather Tessmer, we provide strong, efficient, and collaborative representation in divorce, child custody, military divorce, estate planning, probate, guardianship, and civil litigation.
Role Overview
We’re seeking a full-time Associate Attorney with a passion for Family Law. You’ll work closely with senior attorneys, handle active cases, and provide legal counsel while continuing to grow and develop professionally.
Responsibilities
- Prepare legal documents: contracts, pleadings, motions, briefs, affidavits, settlements, and orders
- Conduct legal research and attend hearings and other proceedings
- Advise clients, analyze conflicts, and negotiate resolutions
- Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and staff for efficient case handling
- Maintain well-organized client files and case information
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Active Texas law license
- Strong communication, interviewing, research, and writing skills
- Ability to manage a high-volume caseload in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent time management and organizational abilities
- Professional, motivated, team oriented, and compassionate
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and document management systems
