Accounting Clerk

The Opportunity
We are seeking an Accounting Clerk to perform clerical, bookkeeping, and accounting assignments and prepare accounting statements and financial reports. Our Accounting Clerk will be responsible for data entry and maintaining ledgers, ensuring payments and receivables are current, or coding documents according to an organization’s procedures.
Accountable for
- Using bookkeeping databases, spreadsheets and software
- Posting financial transactions in databases
- Receiving and recording vouchers, cash and checks
- Producing a variety of reports including income statements and balance sheets
- Checking for accuracy in reports, figures and postings
- Reconciling and reporting any discrepancies found in the records
- Interacting with management, customers, vendors and customers
- Assist with regular bank reconciliations
- Keep sensitive information confidential
- Perform general office support like filing and other administrative tasks
- Maintain, verify, and update numerous ledgers
- Provide assistance with invoices and payments
- Help provide and prepare information for reports in a timely manner
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in bookkeeping programs and related software.
- Excellent analytical, computational and mathematical abilities.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Ability to type at least 40 words per minute.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
- Knowledge of spreadsheets and accounting software.
- One to three years of related experience required.
