Culture and Engagement Coordinator

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Department: Marketing / Business Development

Reports To: Director of Culture and Engagement

Jackson Walker, the largest law firm in Texas, has an exciting full-time employment opportunity for a Culture and Engagement Coordinator in our Dallas office. The Culture and Engagement Coordinator will provide support to the Director of Culture and Engagement in developing, promoting, and maintaining a culture of engagement, inclusiveness, service, and excellence across the firm. The Coordinator will assist in the execution of initiatives related to belonging, inclusion, pro bono, and community service, and will play a key role in tracking, reporting, and communicating the firm's social impact efforts.

KEY PRIORITIES IN THIS ROLE:

Recruitment:

  • Coordinate recruitment activities and events to promote the firm's commitment to belonging and inclusion.
  • Help maintain partnerships with diverse businesses and legal organizations to support inclusive hiring practices.
  • Assist in onboarding new hires, introducing them to the firm's culture, values, and social impact initiatives.

Professional Development, Advancement, and Retention:

  • Track and maintain data related to the development, advancement, and retention of attorneys and business professionals.
  • Support mentorship programs and professional development initiatives.
  • Assist in monitoring the allocation of client work and opportunities to ensure equitable access for all professionals.
  • Help organize and promote participation in belonging, inclusion, and pro bono programming.

Client Service:

  • Support the alignment of belonging, inclusion, and pro bono initiatives with the firm's business strategy.
  • Assist in preparing materials and responses for client requests related to social impact initiatives.
  • Coordinate client-focused events and initiatives that promote inclusion, access, pro bono, and community service.
  • Facilitate networking opportunities by organizing events and supporting attorney and business professional engagement.

Internal and External Communication:

  • Draft and edit key messages, marketing materials, intranet and web content, award nominations, reports, and survey responses related to culture and engagement.
  • Assist in promoting belonging, inclusion, and pro bono initiatives internally and externally.
  • Support media placements and public relations efforts related to the firm's social impact.
  • Help ensure administrative compliance with the Mansfield Rule and other relevant initiatives.

Pro Bono and Community Service:

  • Coordinate logistics for pro bono opportunities and community service events.
  • Track and report on pro bono participation and outcomes.
  • Assist in developing and organizing pro bono training sessions.
  • Support the creation and promotion of community service opportunities for attorneys and business professionals.

Management and Leadership:

  • Collaborate with the Director and other firm leaders to accomplish key priorities and advance the firm's social commitment.
  • Track best practices and assist in the implementation of new initiatives and programs.
  • Help develop and maintain metrics to assess the business outcomes of social impact initiatives.
  • Assist in preparing budgets, tracking expenditures, and coordinating sponsorships related to belonging, inclusion, and pro bono activities.
  • Organize and support internal and external events, committee meetings, and outreach efforts.
  • Prepare analytical and demographic reports and statistics as needed.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE JOB:

  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments and with individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • Positive attitude, approachable, courteous, and respectful.
  • Proficiency in word processing, presentations, spreadsheets, and database management.
  • Ability to learn new technical skills quickly.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university required.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a professional services environment.

Working Conditions:

  • Normal office environment with little exposure to excessive noise and temperature.
  • Some travel is expected for this position willingness to travel to other firm offices occasionally required.
  • Work occasionally requires more than 37.5 hours per week to perform the essential duties of the position occasional extended hours as needed.
