The Legal Assistant provides comprehensive administrative and legal support to attorneys and other legal staff. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced legal environment. A Legal Assistant typically support three or more or Attorneys.
Primary Job Duties:
- Prepare, format, and proofread legal documents, correspondence, and reports
- Manage attorney calendars, schedule meetings, and coordinate travel arrangements
- File legal documents with courts and administrative agencies (electronically and manually)
- Maintain and organize client files, both physical and electronic
- Assist with time entry, billing, and expense reporting
- Communicate professionally with clients, courts, and internal staff
- Conduct basic legal research and compile information as needed
- Support case preparation including document production, discovery, and trial preparation
- Perform other administrative duties as assigned

- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred
- 2 years of experience in a legal assistant or administrative support role preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal practice management software
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion
- Excellent time management and organizational abilities
- Familiarity with legal terminology, procedures, and court systems
