Paralegal Job Description: 

Pantheon is looking for a bright and dedicated recent college graduate to join as a paralegal in our dynamic global in-house legal team.  This is a permanent in-house role in Pantheon’s New York City office, reporting to the Head of Legal (US).  The overall purpose of this role is to assist with the wide variety of legal work undertaken by the Pantheon legal team.  Prior paralegal experience is not required; we will support your development with hands-on training. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Assist in the launch, fundraising and liquidation for its fund products: 
  • Assist with fund launches, fund closings, fund extensions, transfers of interests and terminations 
  • Filing and maintenance of records for all fund legal documentation 
  • Complete and process corporate actions (e.g., amendments to partnership agreements, board resolutions, corporate action memoranda, etc.) 
  • Assist with regulatory filings in the US and other non-US jurisdictions 
  • Review a wide variety of service contracts and confidentiality agreements 
  • Assist with corporate governance matters and projects - maintain corporate and fund files, organizational structure charts, firm-wide signatory policies, matrices and logs 
  • General administrative tasks (e.g., filing, management of legal calendar) 
  • Regular interface with internal and outside counsel and investment teams as well as operations, tax and finance teams  

Required Skills & Experience:  

  • Proactive and Self-Motivated: We are seeking a highly motivated individual with a proactive, solutions-driven approach to completing tasks. 
  • Academic Excellence: Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) with a proven track record of strong academic performance. Submission of college transcript required. 
  • Writing and Analytical Skills: Exceptional writing and analytical skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely. 
  • Organizational and Project Management Skills: Robust organizational and project management skills are essential, along with meticulous attention to detail and proofreading abilities. 
  • Teamwork and Collaboration: Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team, with a confident disposition to collaborate comfortably with colleagues at all levels of the organization. 
  • Technical Proficiency: proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Outlook and Word; practical knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint a plus. 

 

Expected base salary range:  $75,000 - $85,000

Actual base salary is determined by a range of factors including individual experience, skills and qualifications. 

In addition to the above salary, Pantheon offers a generous employee benefits package and successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus
