Associate Legal Counsel

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Associate Legal Counsel with a robust background in healthcare regulatory law and broad-based legal expertise. In this high-impact role, you will serve as a trusted legal advisor to the CEO and senior leadership, driving regulatory compliance and supporting a wide spectrum of legal matters across the company. Your guidance will be integral to safeguarding our mission and enabling our continued growth in consumer healthcare. 

Responsibilities:  

• Draft, review, and negotiate a broad range of agreements, including vendor contracts, NDAs, service agreements, and employment documents.  
• Provide sound legal counsel on matters involving corporate governance, employment law, business risk, and overall strategy. 
• Collaborate cross-functionally to develop and implement internal policies. 
• Support internal investigations, dispute resolution, and litigation management. 
• Partner with outside counsel as needed and ensure prudent management of legal budgets. 
• Advise on federal and state healthcare regulations, including HIPAA, Stark Law, the Anti-Kickback Statute, the False Claims Act, and CMS policies. 
• Ensure organizational compliance with licensing, accreditation, and other regulatory standards applicable to healthcare providers. 
• Provide guidance on healthcare transactions, including affiliations, partnerships, and service agreements. 
• Assist with responses to audits and inquiries from regulatory bodies. 
• Perform additional duties as requested 

Experience  

We believe extraordinary people come from a variety of backgrounds, but ideally we would expect that you have: 

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school 
• Active license in good standing with at least one U.S. state bar 
• Minimum of 5 years of legal experience, with at least 3 years focused on healthcare regulatory matters 
• Prior in-house experience preferred; candidates with healthcare-focused law firm backgrounds also encouraged to apply 
• Strong working knowledge of key healthcare laws and the ability to translate complex regulatory requirements into actionable business solutions 
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills 
• Uncompromising ethical standards and strong professional integrity 
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with a practical, solutions-focused mindset 

Comp & Benefits:  

Range: $175,000- $210,000 per year + Bonus + Equity  

This is the range of pay for New York City candidates only.  Sollis is a multi-state employer and this rate/range may not reflect the pay for positions that are performed solely in localities outside of New York. Furthermore, actual pay is dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to years of experience within the job, years of experience within the required industry, location, education, etc.
