State of California See More Job Openings by This EmployerThe Supervising Special Investigator (SSI) I provides direct supervision over a team of Special Investigators.This team is responsible for performing financial criminal investigations, in coordination with Special Agents and Deputy Attorneys General, which fall within the mission of the Division of Medi-Cal Fraud and Elder Abuse (DMFEA). The SSI I plans, directs, monitors and assigns complaints for criminal investigations to their staff. Acts as a principal advisor to the SSI II on matters relating to DMFEA policies and procedures, outreach, legislative and regulatory initiatives and other matters. Follows and ensures staff follow Department and DMFEA policies and procedures.
Travel is required throughout the state of nation as necessary. Successful completion of a California POST PC 832 Search and Seizure course is required, which may be performed after hire.

Salary- $7,716 - $10,074/month

Working Conditions
Telework is available but is contingent on DMFEA's operation needs. DMFEA's current telework agreement for the Supervising Special Investigator I classification is Office Centered. Office Centered is defined as employees who work more than 50% within a month in the office. Cubicle or open office space in a smoke-free environment and field work as needed. Telework requires California residency.
