Job Summary

Intern elevates the efficiency of the Legal Department by providing clerical services and other support. Updates databases, and files correspondence, legal documents, and contracts. .

MAIN POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

MAIN POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Proofread documents
  • Update and maintain files, including contracts and legal papers, in the Legal Department’s document repository and databases
  • Assist with the administration of legal compliance systems, including matter management, contract management, risk management, and record retention
  • Ensure timely payment of fees and invoices
  • Provide support with Legal Tracker (formerly Serengeti) Matter Management system, including setting up new matters and uploading files  
  • Provide general support to Legal Department in contract administration, litigation, regulatory and compliance and transactional matters

EMPLOYEE QUALIFICATIONS:

EMPLOYEE QUALIFICATIONS:

 

·       B.A. degree

·       Proficiency with Word, PowerPoint and Excel required

·       Prior experience in a corporate legal department or law firm preferred
