About the Role:
We are looking for a detail oriented and self-motivated attorney with law firm and in-house experience that is excited to join our company. As Corporate Counsel, you will partner with stakeholders across Orveon Global to support our three amazing brands: Laura Mercier, bareMinerals, and BUXOM cosmetics. You are someone who is up for a challenge, wants to keep learning and expanding their knowledge and does not shy away from new opportunities.
The position will report to the General Counsel and will have responsibility in various areas, including commercial contracts, corporate governance, advertising and marketing, employment, litigation, intellectual property, real estate, and data privacy. This position will work hand-in-hand with Orveon Global’s leaders to provide business minded legal solutions delivered with exceptional service. Principal Responsibilities
- Draft and negotiate a broad range of commercial contracts such as vendor agreements, license agreements, independent contractor and consulting agreements, event services agreements, IT agreements, NDAs, and other contracts as directed by business stakeholders and the General Counsel.
- Support the supply chain team on transportation, warehouse, and general logistics matters.
- Advise the social media and e-commerce teams on various projects, contracts, policies, and processes, including influencer agreements and guidelines and legal review of advertising and marketing materials.
- Assist the General Counsel and Trademark Paralegal in managing IP matters, including trademark portfolio management, IP enforcement, and brand discipline policies.
- Manage various litigation matters involving the company
- Assist the General Counsel and outside counsel as needed on acquisitions and expansion opportunities, including due diligence support and integration post-acquisition.
- Provide legal support and oversight in the company’s international business, including in developing markets.
- Manage outside counsel, including international counsel, as required, including on privacy and employment matters.
- Support global investigations, as needed, including issues reported through the whistleblower hotline; update investigation, reporting and remediation protocols, as well as related record-keeping.
- Supervise Orveon’s Assistant Corporate Counsel.
Education And Experience Requirements
- 5-8 years of corporate transactional experience at a law firm or in-house, or a combination of both.
- Required to be in office 3 days a week
- Admission in good standing to practice law in at least one U.S. state, and eligible to practice as registered in-house counsel in the State of Ohio.
- An interest in developing a generalist approach to the in-house practice of law.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
- A strategic thinker with excellent business judgment.
- Capacity to work independently, prioritize, and manage a heavy workload.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively communicate with others.
- Excellent analytical skills and effective written and verbal communication skills.

Pay Transparency - One of our values is Stark Honesty and the following represents a good faith estimate of the compensation range for this position. The pay range for this role is $140,000-$165,000 per year.
