The Legal Operations Assistant plays an integral role and assists all aspects of legal operations. The Legal Operations Assistant may prepare and coordinate procedural documentation for general legal matters as well as intellectual property matters. The Legal Operations Assistant manages the company’s work orders and other related contract workflow and take charge as a liaison between the legal department and all other functional departments.

Job Responsibilities:
- Manages legal contract repository and organization of all legal documents in support of all functions of the Legal Department
- Obtains information from individual work order requestors within the company, communicates pending work order activities with various departments in the company
- Acts as liaison between the Legal Department and other research and clinical departments in the Company in relationship to pending contracts, work orders, and other intellectual property related matters
- Assists members of the Legal Department in preparation and execution of formal documents in connection with patent filings, procurement and maintenance
- Maintains patent docket, patent filing repository, and annuities
- Responds to incoming requests from outside counsel
- Performs other related duties and responsibilities as directed by members of the Legal Department
- Bachelor’s degree or experience equivalent
- Paralegal certification or in-house patent and corporate legal experience
- Strong attention to detail and strong teamwork
- Three plus years of in-house pharmaceutical or biotechnology contract/legal experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize multiple related activities
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills as well as experience with document management software programs, Adobe, and contract databases
Salary: $75k-$125k
