Job Description

Put your administrative and organizational skills to work at Snell & Wilmer, one of the largest and most prestigious law firms in the Western United States.  We currently have an opening for Legal Administrative Assistant within the Labor & Employment Practice Group in our Phoenix office.

To thrive in this role, you will ensure that all documents have been proofread, edited and revised as necessary. You will manage calendars, travel schedules, and accurately record billable and unbillable time. The ability to handle the day-to-day juggling of the work of multiple attorneys in a fast-paced environment is key to your success.

The hours are Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. in the office.

Position responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: 

  • Manages files, opens new matters as requested by attorneys, and maintains all relevant document inclusions for the files 
  • Ensures that all documents have been proofread, edited, and revised as necessary 
  • Manage calendars and travel schedules 
  • Accurately record billable and unbillable (client and administrative) time spent in the correct file matters 
  • Anticipates the needs of Attorneys & keep Attorneys organized 
  • Develops and maintains smooth working relationships with staff, Attorneys, and clients 
  • Create tasks, upload, and send emails in client document management system 
  • Responds to phone calls and emails in a professional manner 

Experience and Qualifications:

  • 2 plus years experience as a litigation legal administrative assistant experience within a mid-size law firm
  • Must be familiar with Arizona Rules of Civil Procedure
  • Extensive experience with e-filing both State and Federal
  • Familiarity with e-filing in multiple jurisdictions preferred, but not required

  • Excel, Word, OneNote and Outlook proficiency
