Paralegal

Job Description:

The Harris County District Attorney's Office is seeking qualified Paralegals to work directly with one or more Assistant District Attorneys. Responsibilities will vary depending on the specific assignment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in case preparation, including drafting subpoenas, motions, and notices
• Maintain ongoing communication with complainants and witnesses throughout the case preparation process
• Coordinate witness availability and appearance for trial
• Conduct legal research as requested
• Provide consistent and professional contact with complainants and witnesses to ensure continuity

Qualifications:

• Associate of Applied Science degree or Certificate in Paralegal Studies

Work Schedule:

Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m
Hours may vary depending on department needs.

Salary (Starting):

• $28.28 hourly/ $4,901.87 monthly/ $58,822.40 annually
• $36.51 hourly/ $6,328.40 monthly / $75,940.80 annually (Lead Paralegal)
