Job Description

The Cybersecurity Officer is responsible for establishing, managing, and enhancing the enterprise information security program for the Third Judicial Circuit of Florida. This position ensures that the court’s digital assets, including information systems, infrastructure, and technology are protected from internal and external cybersecurity threats. The Officer independently monitors legal, technological, and organizational risks and implements appropriate security strategies to uphold confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information systems.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Qualifications

Education & Experience (one of the following):
- Master’s degree in IT or related field plus 1 year of relevant experience in network systems design/development; or

- Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field plus 2 years of experience (1 year in network systems design/development); or

- High school diploma plus 5 years of experience in IT, 3 of which must be in network systems design/development (excluding data entry); or

Certifications (preferred):
- Industry-recognized security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CompTIA Security+, or equivalent.

Other Information

This is a County funded position

Reports to: Senior IT Management / Court Administration

Working Conditions: Full-time position with occasional after-hours or on-call duties in response to security incidents or other technology-related problems requiring immediate remediation.
Professional Office-based with periodic travel for training or collaboration across court circuits.
