About the Position: This position is located at U.S. Army Installation Management Command, Fort Eisenhower, GA. Recruitment and relocation incentives may be authorized If you are currently serving in a permanent, competitive service appointment in the Federal service, and are selected for this position, the appointment will remove you from the competitive service while you occupy this position.
Duties- Handle a wide range of legal issues involving all areas of Administrative and Civil law that affect the day to day operation of the installation.
- Serve as the installation's primary environmental law advisor, provide very broad guidance with legislation, new and existing statutes, and agency policies.
- Serve as the primary legal advisor to the CCOE Commander, staff and subordinate directorates on all aspects of law relating to cyberspace operations and cyber law in general.
- Provide legal advice to the Director of Contracting and the installation contracting officers, in all areas of federal acquisition, to include requirement identification, contract formation, award, administration, termination, and dispute resolution.
- Act as local legal counsel on lawsuits filed against the installation, its tenant activities, and/or its employees who are sued for acts while acting within the scope of their employment.
- In the absence of the Labor Employment Counsel, incumbent assists the MICC in maintaining contact with Government contractors and their unions to assure compliance with contract, statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Provide appropriate training, instruction, and presentations to transfer complex legal theories and concepts to employees and others in a manner to effectively communicate concepts to benefit the workforce.
