Starting Salary Range: Paralegal I: $66,927. - $79,643. / Paralegal II: $74,367. - $89,278.
Position Summary:
The Paralegal works under the supervision of the General Counsel and works directly with BWL personnel on a broad range of corporate, employment and compliance matters, which includes policies and procedures. The Paralegal will also, under direct guidance from the General Counsel, will provide legal review for transactional matters and implement and enforce core contract management processes for contract compliance and legal controls. The Paralegal performs legal research on a variety of subject matters and supports the General Counsel with investigations and interviews for compliance and transactional tasks

Essential Functions:
- Provides support for legal counsel; performs legal research and prepares opinions.
- Prepares and drafts legal documents such as deeds, easements, leases, and contracts.
- Prepares and revises form legal documents.
- Reviews contracts.
- Reviews and drafts policies and procedures.
- Reviews and tracks the status of transactional legal matters.
- Conducts extensive case research and prepares detailed reports and memoranda.
- Performs data entry and other support functions during trial preparation, including document coding and imaging.
- Attends meetings and takes meeting notes.
- Assists attorneys in collecting legal and factual records.
- Communicates with outside counsel, opposing counsel, clients, judicial administrative staff, vendors, and other parties
- Prepares legal documents and updates transactional documents.
- Schedules appointments for attorneys and other legal staff.
- Transmits legal correspondence to clients, witnesses, and court officials.
- Conducts internal client interviews and assists in investigations.
- Coordinates with and monitors outside legal counsel.
- Performs related work as required and assigned.
- Supports all organizational policies and initiatives
- Expected to comply with all BWL policies and work rules.
- Reliable and predictable attendance.

- A minimum of two years of experience as a paralegal, legal assistant, or legal secretary.
Paralegal II: $74,367. - $89,278.

- This position requires a minimum of five years of experience as a paralegal, legal assistant or legal secretary.
