Duties If selected for this position, you will join a well-respected team that is responsible for Tribal and Victim Witness Assistance in the Marquette, MI Branch Office. Typical work assignments will include: Providing advice to attorneys and management serving as a focal point for tribal victim matters within the district. Developing and implementing specific program activities which promote compliance with Federal victim laws and guidelines. Establishing and maintaining communication between various organizations and social service groups that promote the rights of Native American victims. Responding to tribal victim inquiries via phone, e-mail, and letters. Providing victims with information regarding the criminal justice system, courtroom orientations, and court escorts. Preparing victims for courtroom appearances and/or contacts with legal representatives. Providing in-court support during hearings and trials. Obtaining services and assistance for victims through specific federal programs and funds. Advocating on behalf of victims regarding issues caused by crime and knowledge of crisis intervention services and programs, case management, and direct services. Responsibilities will increase and assignments will become more complex as your training and experience progress. Salary- $61,111 - $96,116/year
