CLS is currently searching for a service-minded, mission driven individual to fulfill the following position:
Manager of Pro Bono Services
OVERVIEW
Reporting to the Director of Pro Bono Services, the Manager of Pro Bono Services is responsible for creating an exemplary client experience for all CLS pro bono clients and pro bono attorneys. The Manager of Pro Bono Services is responsible for motivating and inspiring a high performing team, collaborating with the Manager of Pro Bono Development, maintaining program data, and providing outreach and maintaining external community and client relationships.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide supervision, training, and direction to the Pro Bono Coordinators.
- Oversee client intake and internal referrals for pro bono legal services.
- Plan and maintain policies and procedures as well as day-to-day operations for Pro Bono Coordinators.
- Supervise Pro Bono Coordinators in all aspects of the client/potential client lifecycle.
- Serve as a liaison between CLS and its external partners, including professional organizations, nonprofit entities, and community groups.
- Supervise the successful implementation of CLS workshops, clinics, community presentations, and other pro bono activities.
- Coordinate with the Manager of Pro Bono Development to ensure appropriate attorney availability for all pro bono activities and develop new and engaging pro bono opportunities.
- Collaborate with the Director of Pro Bono Services and the Manager of Pro Bono Development to establish annual goals for pro bono coordinators, aligning targets with community needs and servicearea priorities.
- Develop Helpline and SLU referrals based on pro bono unit capacity and priorities.
- Travel to other CLS offices or sites periodically to participate in clinics, workshops, presentations, training, and other pro bono activities.
- Participate in community outreach projects; and other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS

2. Background and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree preferable.
- Law office and legal experience required.
- Must have effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Comfortable with communicating with attorneys, clients, judges, and volunteers.
- Microsoft Office Suite proficiency required.
- Experience with attorney timekeeping and legal case management systems preferred.
- Must demonstrate compassion and commitment to understanding and addressing issues of low- income clients.
- Must be self-motivated, professional, and capable of independently managing workload and prioritizing tasks in a fast-paced legal environment with minimal supervision.
- Ability to perform duties and attend meetings and/or other functions throughout 12 county service area, including weekends and evenings.
- Valid Florida automobile license, use of own auto, and proof of insurance necessary to travel on behalf of CLS.
3. Physical Requirements
a. Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
b. Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.
STARTING SALARY: $75,000+, PLUS 10% BONUS of offered salary!!
