RAS LaVrar is a rapidly expanding creditors’ rights law firm servicing some of the largest financial institutions in the country. POSITION SUMMARY

The Associate Attorney (Florida) at RAS LaVrar is a pivotal member of our rapidly expanding creditors’ rights practice, focused on the efficient and compliant resolution of high-volume legal files. Reporting to the Managing Attorney, this role is responsible for the end-to-end management of cases, from the initial review of conditions precedent to the execution of contested trials and discovery. The position requires a candidate who can balance meticulous attention to detail with the speed necessary for a high-volume environment, ensuring that all legal strategies align with both client expectations and strict regulatory standards.

Responsibilities and Duties:

The following responsibilities are central to the role:

Litigation & Case Management

  • Hearing Advocacy: Represent the firm’s interests by handling court hearings throughout the state of Florida.
  • Trial & Contested Matters: Manage contested legal issues, including the drafting and oversight of discovery and representation of clients during trials.
  • Resolution Strategy: Monitor file progress and develop effective strategies to bring cases to resolution efficiently while maintaining high-quality work products.
  • Pleading Oversight: Draft and review pleadings, motions, and professional correspondence to initiate and advance legal actions.

Compliance & Document Review

  • Conditions Precedent Review: Perform comprehensive audits of all conditions precedent to filing, including the scrutiny of financials, notices, demand letters, and supporting documentation.
  • Regulatory Safeguarding: Ensure all actions remain in strict compliance with local, state, and federal requirements regarding collections.
  • Data Integrity: Maintain and update internal systems with real-time findings, documentation, and strategic recommendations to ensure firm-wide transparency.

Professionalism & Collaboration

  • Client & Court Liaison: Exhibit a high degree of professionalism and confidentiality when interacting with the judiciary, opposing counsel, and financial institution clients.
  • Operational Alignment: Work independently while maintaining strong interpersonal communication to ensure internal systems reflect accurate case statuses.

Core Competencies & Required Skills:

The successful candidate will:

  • Analytical Precision: Meticulous organizational skills with the ability to identify corrective action opportunities and present sound legal recommendations.
  • High-Volume Efficiency: Demonstrated ability to prioritize heavy workloads and meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced, volume-based practice.
  • Technical Literacy: Intermediate to advanced proficiency in general office software and legal case management systems.
  • Professional Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex legal concepts clearly.
  • Independent Problem-Solving: A self-starter capable of working with minimal supervision while maintaining a "zero-defect" standard for work product.

Educational/ Experience Qualification:

  • Education: Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Licensing: Active Bar membership in Florida is strictly required.
  • Experience: 0–3 years of legal experience; prior experience in collections, foreclosure, or creditors’ rights is preferred but not required.
  • Travel Requirements: Must be willing and able to travel extensively as needed throughout the state of Florida to attend in-person hearings, trials, and depositions as required by the court or client.
  • Attributes: Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to professional development within a collegial, high-volume environment.
