This role will work with Stord Legal and directly with the business to understand objectives and develop business-centric strategies that mitigate risk while still enabling the business flexibility and the ability to move quickly. This role will assist in providing day-to-day advice to the business team on a range of matters, including contract interpretation, strategic advice, and general inquiries. Stord is looking for a self-starter who can jump into things with a bias for action. This role will report to the Head of Legal.

What You'll Do:
Partner with legal and business stakeholders to review, negotiate, and execute contracts, including service agreements, warehousing and fulfillment agreements, carrier and transportation agreements, partnership agreements, and real estate agreements.
Support and guide the sales team and various business teams on deal structure and contract negotiations (for both customers and vendors).
Serve as a knowledge source for guiding business stakeholders through the contracting process
Identify opportunities to improve the contract management process to drive operational efficiencies and standardization throughout Stord
Address internal inquiries regarding contractual questions, obligations, and compliance
Develop processes, create templates and manage the template library
Stay up to date on relevant industry, commercial, intellectual property, privacy and compliance issues.
What You'll Need:
3+ years of experience with commercial transaction experience, preferably in the logistics space
Significant experience negotiating, drafting, and solving issues for various types of commercial contracts, including those relating to warehousing and logistics
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently to prioritize work, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines
Ability to operate independently in fast-paced environment
Logistics experience preferred; in-house experience preferred
J.D. from an accredited law school and membership in at least one state bar
