About the Role
As an Associate Attorney in our Upland office, you’ll be cross-trained in multiple practice areas, gaining hands-on experience in estate planning, probate, trust administration, and estate litigation. This is a great opportunity for both newly admitted attorneys eager to be trained and for attorneys with 1–3 years of experience looking to deepen their skills.
We offer structured mentorship, real case exposure, and a manageable 1,680-hour billable requirement—making this a strong long-term career opportunity, not just a job.
About You
- You’re a licensed California attorney—newly admitted or with up to 3 years of experience
- You’re excited to learn estate planning, probate, and litigation in a real-world setting
- You value mentorship, collaboration, and personal growth
- You bring strong writing and communication skills, and a proactive mindset
- Experience with billing, conservatorships, or contested probate matters is a plus—but not required
- Conduct legal research and case analysis
- Draft pleadings, legal documents, and correspondence
- Manage discovery requests and responses
- Conduct depositions, trial preparation, and court appearances
- Communicate effectively with clients, courts, and opposing counsel
- Handle estate planning, probate, trust administration, and contested matters
Requirements
- Active California Bar license (required)
- 0–3 years of legal experience (civil litigation or probate a plus, not required)
- Courtroom exposure is preferred, but not mandatory
- Strong legal writing and attention to detail
- Growth-oriented and open to coaching
